Oriental Dance Artist& Instuctor. Farasha has been dancing since the age of 4. She grew up in the U.S.A.(N.Y.) and Brazil (S.P.) and has traveled to many countries. As a result, she's been influenced by a wide range of performers throughout the world from a young age. She has studied and performed classic ballet, gymnastics, baton twirling, jazz dance, hip-hop, modern dance and flamenco. When she was introduced to Oriental dance, she instantly fell in love with this ancient dance and was determined to devote her heart to it. She began to study with Mishaal, an international dancer who performs and teaches wordwide, and keeps on studying with world famous master teachers; Lulu of Brazil and Dr. Gamal Seif . She studied Egyptian dance in Egypt and Japan, with many world renowned teachers, and keeps on studying intensively.
Farasha is the director of Studio FODSS & FODSS Oriental Dance Company, in Tokyo, Japan. Her dance company FODSS is an award winning dance company, and she and FODSS performs all over Japan and overseas. Farasha performs in staged shows, special events, festivals, concerts, exhibitions, musicals, and at hotels, restaurants, and private parties. She has been featured on TV, newspapers, magazines, books, DVDs and other international and domestic media. She performs, teaches, and judges at International festivals and competitions, and is a Director of the Japan Bellydance Association (JBA).
Farasha not only celebrates life in her dance, she also uses her dance to help others live better lives. She is a founding member of P.U.R.E. Tokyo, a global community of dancers and musicians who perform to spread healing and peace, and a member of The Afet Collective, a group of socially concerned bellydancers raising awareness and funds for women's charities.
